Grandadsmith with new grandson

All last week I prayed that my grandchild would arrive while I was in Prestwick , Scotland. God is good.

I arrived at Glasgow airport at 7.30am on Saturday , after the usual all night flight. I had a little sleep in the morning. All the rest of my clan went to Cuzean castle, for a picnic ,  as it was a loveley warm day. In the evening we had a nice BBQ at George & Rebekah's.

We got a 3.30am phone call this morning. Frances rushed over to look after Ellie. George drove Rebekah to hospital with Victoria ( my other daughter ) following  . I stayed in bed until 8.30 am.  Baby was born at 7am. He is a big boy wieghing in at 10 lbs 2 oz. ( 4.6 kgm ). Rebekah had a little trouble with this very large baby but should be out of hospital in 2 days or so. Here husband George has been on a training course for his work last week  in Bradford , but was home for the big even.

Many thanks for your prayers for the safe arrival of this precious child Keith George Wright.     My younger brother is Keith.

Still at the UN & Calvary Baptist Church

Things went quite well yesterday and they are going OK today. Thank you for your prayers.

Last night I went to the prayer meeting at Calvary Baptisit Church. I was given the chance to share with them a little about my ministry for around 10 minutes. There was an amazing time of prayer after this , with the Holy Spirit touching many people. I was blessed.

Opposite is myself & Tony , an elder from this church, shown outside the Church after the meeting.

I phoned Rebekah this morning and she is still in    " one piece ". So I could be home for the birth of my next grandchild.

This morning I had a good meeting with a diplomat from Trinidad & Tobago. I hope to do some pro-life training there in October.

Still at the UN , prayer required

Well here I am in Conf room one at the NGO committee hearing.

This afternoon some bad NGOs are being considered.

Please pray that good NGOs get accredited and the bad ones do not.

My daughter , Rebekah , has not given birth yet. She had a consultation with her docotor on Monday and all is well.

I may even be home in Scotland when my third grandchild will be born , this being Rebekah's second child.

Monday, May 21, 2012

I landed in New York on Friday and here I am in the UN , conf room 1 , for the NGO committee hearings.

Please pray that good NGOs get accredited and the bad ones do not.

By the way my daughter Rebekah is due to give birth next week. Hopefully I will be home.

Please pray for a safe delivery.

From last Sunday to Wednesday we had a wonderful visit from Ian & Marion Hubble ( seen on the right ) who came to visit us from Tasmania. We have known them for 31 years and this was the first time they have visited us in Scotland. They were at the meeting where I got saved , on 28 Nov. 1980, and we attended the same church in Melbourne where Ian and I were elders.

Tomorrow I head off to New York for a meeting where NGOs get accredited to the UN.

Our older daughter , Rebekah  , is due to give birth 27 May. Please pray for a safe delivery of my third grandchild.
I hope to be home for this wonderful event.

Please pray that all goes well for me at the UN.

Here is another special treat for me. This young Mum ( Elisabeth ) waited 7 years before she fell pregnant , naturally. She did not use IVF , but prayed to God for a child. Two years ago she visited our stand and that evening was the first time she felt her baby ( Caroline Mercy ) kick.

Last year she visited our stand and Caroline was one day off 7 months old , and this year she was 1 day off 19 months.

So Caroline and her Mum have visited our stand three years in a row.

May the Lord bless this young lady and give her and her husband a second
 special gift of another child.

CRE - Special Treat

The Lord often has a treat for me and this afternoon  it occured when Julia Liles came to see me. For several years Julia would volunteer on this stand for SPUC , while she was at college.

Julia is just back from a Mission trip with the NGO called Social Change & Development ( SCAD ) in Tamilnadu ,South India. She was working in a school for physically & mentally challenged children. She had worked there twice before , staying 3 months on one visit.

In Sept Julia will be attending a one year course at all Nations Bible College.

If you would like to get Julia's prayer letter contact her on:

Broken Chains

This is an outreach ministry that I help out with in Ayr , Scotland. The people who run this are from several different local churches. Many people who attend have been homeless. There is a meeting 2 to 4 pm on Saturday , and a Church service Sunday afternoons followed by a meal. I was at the meeting this afternoon and asked if I could get a photo of them.

Please pray for this Ministry.
